About Me

Hello!

I’m Yvette Meek.

The woman behind the lens.

I was born in Guinea (Conakry), raised in Liberia, and settled in Ghana, where I pursued an education.

Photos were a luxury in those third-world countries.

I have no photos of my mother, siblings, friends, or myself.

I’d met my husband, Nathaniel, an American, in Ghana. My first photo was for my passport! We arrived in Arizona in 2006.

Nathaniel insisted that we were going to be married by a king, and we were, by an Elvis impersonator! My wedding photos were my second experience being photographed.

I loved having my picture taken until I was gifted with my first camera.

When I looked through the lens, it was then I realized I wanted behind the lens.

I want to capture personal moments for others so they have a visual narrative of their life.

I want their photos to produce smiles, tears, an exciting vocal exchange of everyone’s memories of that special moment.

I want your photos to make your heart smile. Experiencing the delight & excitement with a client as we view the images my lens captured is very gratifying.

I’m honored to gather on film multiple facets of their beauty.
